Don't know what happened here - didn't mean to have 2 posts.

Yay! I finally got a recognizable picture, even though it isn't finished yet - as a matter of fact as I was working with the picture to get it resized, I realized I didn't even do anything with her little mittens and I still need to work on that tiny little face - haven't done much with it at all. Oh well, I will be working more with it tomorrow but I did want to post this much progress anyway. This is approximately 9 x 12 and is done in oil pastels. Comments and suggestion will certainly be appreciated.

Ok - something screwy is going on - can't get the picture to post. I'll try again tomorrow AM.

It's probably too big for this forum. I've noticed I can get bigger pictures onto Wet Canvas. — Kathy

Holland, sometimes the names or numbers we give to the pictures we post before the jpg. word makes this kind of trouble. I made the title smaller and the problem dissappeared in mine.

This may not be finished but I'm calling it DONE! Suna, I know you don't like things "in the middle" but she just sort of ended up there. It's on paper, so I guess I could cut it. I made way too many errors in judgement in the beginning that I just couldn't overcome, but here she is - wish I could have made the backgrounds colder!

Now it looks very nice! Please don't cut it because I said'' it's in the middle''. The colors are even better. The dress is blue, and the background is better with warm colours. The face has changed and it's very cute now It looks very pleasing. ---Suna.

Thanks, Suna. She actually shows up much better here than in real life - she has a really "dirty" face since I didn't put any clear gesso over my sketch first - -bad mistake! She was an experiment with oil pastels and I learned a lot of what not to do next - so that makes her a success, I guess. She is done approximately 9 x 12 inches on a great big piece of watecolor paper and I probably won't even cut her out of the the big sheet. I will try oil pastels again soon and see what I can do.

I just love all the paintings that you have shared. I sent a couple of pictures as suggestions for our next project, as we went back in the New England States, fall foliage and covered bridges. I'm hoping you might enjoy painting one of my pictures. I learn alot from each and everyone of you. Thank-you. Susan
