Hi Guys, Well I finally found a little time to try this one. Decided to do the left half because I liked the composition better. But my drawing was not true to the relative dimensions so my tower is elongated. Not terrible but not what I intended. Also had a hard time with the road and graying out the greens in the distance. So another learning experinece...lol... Barbara

It's a nice painting. To gray out the greens in the background add a little orange and white. Kathy

Barb, I really like how you cropped the composition - it works nicely. Kathie just taught me something, too, about graying out the greens. Along those same lines, if you didn't already know, to dull a hue, add it's opposite. This has helped me tremendously over the years.

Lavanya - I love your watercolors! Beautiful feeling to the painting.
Barb - love your crop - the composition works very well. I found this one a bit of a challenge too.

Kathy - thanks for the tip on graying out the greens. I did not know that.
And Kim - I am starting to play with the adding the complimentary colors too.

So much to learn, that's why these studies are so good.
