Susan & Priti - great work from both of you also. Love how everyone is jumping into this. Susan, it's lovely. You have framed the bridge with the trees, nicely done. Priti, you did a wonderful job with the watercolors - glad you didn't sit this one out. Love your green trees!
Last night, as I put the first brush strokes to the canvas, the phone rang. My job had called with problems, which kept me busy into the wee hours.
So, I will be working on mine over the weekend - and I'll probably post a little late. But wanted to let all know that I'm still involved!
Holly, such news! Wishing you the best with whatever you do - and yes, why don't you post some of your artwork too! You should join the weekly challenge!! Looking forward to "seeing" Sarah online as well!

Thanks Barb and Nancy. Susan, great job for a first oil painting. Nancy i am looking forward to seeing yours , and where is Kathy's? You are right Barbara, watercolor is the most difficult medium (for me) and i look for every opportunity to practice it. Holly we will miss you a lot around here and look forward to seeing your work. Welcome Sarah. |

Sorry friends, didn't have painting time this week. But have had time to look. Priti I like what you did adding the mauve. It gives it a special interest. Kathy |

I have watched the past two challenges and I would like to jump in. So I am expecting that Monday is when the next challenge will be posted. Hopefully I will get the time and guts to do it. It is really fun to see the different interpretations of the same photo. Dawn |

| Evening all. Just returned from a weekend away and I was able to finish this painting. In fact, this is my second attempt at this (the first remains unfinished & cast aside). I found this a bit hard in that I couldn't make out the details in the photo, so I sort of improvised. I also couldn't figure where to add the splash of color (I see Priti did so in her sky, nicely done!)
Here's mine - Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet.
Looking forward to the next one - "Fruit bowl" - a still life!

Very nicely done Nancy. Making the building be obviously a building gives us a place to go ...I like it very much...makes the painting more interesting. Good work.

Hi, I'm new to painting, watercolor that is.
Since I live on Cypress Creek, I will try this and see if I can learn
how to send it to this site.
Thanks, because I have not painted in about 3 months.

Thanks Barb & Priti for your comments on mine. Much appreciated. Kathy, I hope you can join on the Fruit Still Live challenge. Susan, I hope you can continue with the challenges.
Dawn & Liz - Glad to have more join in. Looking forward to seeing your work. And just because it's a weekly challenge, doesn't mean you can't paint a prior week's image & post it. There really isn't a time-limit on these things (I still have one due from last March - LOL). Welcome, and don't be shy. There's lots of nice people on this site, many who will offer help if asked.
