One of the first colored pencil portraits i've done.  would like feedback on it ...am including snapshot of Ceth i used.  The photography isn't the best. Just not my forte'.

Hey PJ,

Very realistic! You should be very proud of your first attempt at a portrait!! My only comment would be to add more shading to the left side of his face...you have shaded his left temple area and it seems that the shadow would also extend to his face as well. What do you think?

Thanks for the comment..I can see what you mean...I find it very hard to do portraits.. because I layer the color a lot. I tried not to get the Kool-aid on his face in my portrait( lol).....Pj

ha ha...I see the kool-aid now! That might be cute to add to the portrait! But very hard to pull off too!

It's hard to believe this is your first attempt with a portrait. My hat is off to you - it's very good. What I notice is Ceth's left eye. In your drawing, it appears a little high. Try taking a straight edge and see if they line up at the correct angle with the rest of the face. It might only be the hairline on the forehead that is giving the illusion.
