This colored pencil piece is 19"x17" on a light gray paper.
The subject is taken from a photo that I took on a school class trip to Washington, DC with my grandson.
Comments are welcome and appreciated.

I've been doing oils and pastels for years but never was comfortable with pencils even though I tend to paint very realistically. I happened to come across a pastel pencil artist that just bowled me over letting me realize just how much pazazz you could get from them. Her book Masterful Color (Arlene Steinberg) was well worth the adding to my library. You might do welll to look up her website www.arlenesteinberg.com and see just how much further you can take your well drawn pictures. I wrote to her and found a very warm and giving person who was happy to help me to get a copy of her book and tell me something of what I could do to make my pencil art better. I hope this will help and that you do not take offense; I believe you could make your really good drawing a spectacular painting. Luck, Johanne

Very nice. Like how you did the hair on the horses.
Not attaching self worth to a skill or possession, but letting it stand on faith that it needs no reason, is the greatest accomplishment I can achieve.

Hi! Great to see your work like always. I think the gray paper has done your pencil work justice.
It does give one a very calm warm day feeling when you look at that piece.
You are a natural at your art. Excellent.

Hey Ron,
Sorry I don't come by this forum very often but I always look for your work. This photo doesn't seem right. I think maybe your pic was replaced by another of the same name. It's happened to me too. Try renaming your pic and that should take care of it.
All the best,
Jim
