Here's another of my landscapes in colored pencil . This was done from a reference picture that I took back in the 60's during a visit to Yosemite. I had taken several shots in a panorama of the valley entering the park and liked this crop for an art piece. It's about 13x14 done on white Stonehenge paper with Prismacolor pencils.

This is done so well. I spent a day photographing scenes in Yosemite in September. Your painting gives me inspiration to get to it and try to do a painting soon. I love the reflections in the water. It's very nice. Gene

That's a beautiful landscape. It's funny how we find photos from our past that inspire us today. Great composition comes with time and wisdom. Any estimate on how long it took you to do this?

Thanks Gene and Mike. Mike it's been awhile but I would guess about 38-42 hours. Thats starting from the original sketch, transfering it to the Stonehenge and adding color.

Colored pencil? Amazing. You've done a fine job. You should be proud - getting this result took some skill.
