Here is a painting I did of a section of the Pacific Coast Highway south of Big Sur, California. When I was in the service in the 60's and stationed at Monterey, California I had the chance to visit some beautiful places out there, Yosemite, Seventeen Mile Drive and the many spots along the coast highway. I had an old discolored picture that I had taken in my photo album so before all the color was gone I thought I would make a painting of it. This was done on white Stonehenge with Prismacolor pencils. It's about 10x12 inches.          gbritnell

This was a very enjoyable picture to do especially because it was my first contact with the ocean, and the California coastline, where I was, was so spectacular. I envy those who live along the Washington and Oregon coastlines for their artistic opportunities.  gbritnell
