9 X 12 on Strathmore Smooth Bristol. Prismacolor colored pencils.

its a lovely fantasy piece..if you darken the values a tiny bit it will make it sing/pop a bit more...
your flowers are all positioned in a similar way..varying that a bit will help too....complementary colors are important in any color medium...but with cps it can truly make a difference...

Thanks for taking a look and critiquing! I think I should have put more contrast between the dark and light areas (as you were saying) and I was a bit lost on how to do the flowers~

So I definitely have some areas for improvement. I'll keep your suggestions in mind. thanks again!

nice dragon how did you get it to turn out soft looking when i do it it looks waxy

Thanks To get it soft looking I put in lots of color layers and always keep my pencils sharp( to prevent accidental scratches or uneven lines). Sometimes I'll also use the Prisma colorless blender or press down hard with a light color to help give it a smooth look.

I really, really like the soft colors and delicate little dragon. He's very creatively designed. I want this on my wall.
