| I posted this bird in January, but I decided to carry it further and add the pine limbs. Comments are welcome. |

I didn't see the original painting but have a feeling that the addition of the pine bough enhances it. The painting is very dark on my monitor so I can't see much detail in the pines. Is it an Eastern Bluebird? I really like the composition and where the bird is placed in relationship to the pine cones, etc.

Well, I wasn't here in January, so I won't know how this has progressed.....but I LOVE the work on the pine tree. I like the difference in textures....the soft texture of the bird, and the stiff branches and needles of the tree. Nice work Ron!

Ron, You have such great values in your greens, the grass with the racoon and now pine needles with the bluebird. Your composition, lost and found edges, stuff coming in and out of painting etc is consistent in your work. |

Yeah, what Heather said. Plus the detail work you put in is fantastic. The pine cones are a nice touch. Jim

Thanks, Heather, Jim, and one who sees for your comments. I think the bird is an eastern bluebird. I looks like the one building a nest in my backyard. The bird was done from a photo. The pine branches were done from a tree in my yard. |

| Ron..............as always your work in cp is excellent. The glasses, your grandson, this blue bird.........love them all. Don't think I'll ever achieve near this with cp. |

This is awesome. I really like the addition of the pine limbs. It just completes it somehow. This is a nice 'feel good' piece.
