Sheryll, it's beautiful. I love the bright sunny areas in the front and the shadows. Lovely!
Bonnie, I didn't intend to skip mention of your memory-scape. It's so interesting, with the shadows and patterns.
Della, your waterfall painting is so peaceful.
Lisa, thanks! |

Hola Anghwar
Nice job! Very misty.. The photo is a little dark but I copied it and lightened it to see it better..
Look at you picture upside down. Then look only at the brown and yellow horizontal shape ( weeds)
If you varie the values in this shape, the weeds will dance..
Try it on a piece of acetate or tracing paper first.. Let me know what you think. |

| WOW, go away for a few days and finally get my painting done come back to post it and the forum is 8 pages!!!!! long, and full of beautiful works. Here's my last before the deadline. It's Petty Harbour in NFLD, another we took on our trip last year. It's water color and acrylic, 8.25 x 12.25 (how it got to be that size? must have measured wrong!) on Arches cp 140lb. water color paper. Hope you enjoy. |

One last entry. As I said before, I have no recent vacation experiences to paint, so here is a colored pencil work that I made from photos of when I was in Mexico a few years back. I 'compiled' the work from two different photos. It's called "Midnight Sun". Is colored pencil an acceptable medium for the "paint-off"?
There's a lot of beautiful art here - my kudos to all! L'artiste-poete

| Thank you Frank..........the painting is mostly water color, the darkest trees and some of the reflections are acrylic. It was just a bit of an experiment on my part as I had never thought of putting acrylic paint on paper, had always used board for them. I wanted to see how it went so just tried a bit here. The picture is actually brighter and livelier than it shows here. I find that posting work seems to darken it. |

Hi,
This painting which I just completed was inspired by a trip to Mazatlan in March of this year. The hotel we stayed at had a second floor balcony and our room overlooked a wall covered in these beautiful climbing plants.
It is watercolor on arches 140 lb paper, size 10 x 14.
I have posted it as well on the watercolor site and would appreciate any comments or suggestions as I am fairly new to watercolor and love all of the support on this site.
Thanks |

I painted this beach in Zihuatanejo , Guerrero, Mexico
from "on location " sketches and a couple of photos while on vacation last winter.
A very beautiful spot and very popular with the local lovebirds..
Your comments are always welcome.

"On My Way Home On Route 62" large painting in WN Watercolor on Arches Cold press watercolor paper. The landscape is inspired by last Fall digital reference photos that I took for future paintings on Route 62 in Clinton. Route 62 goes thru central Mass. I live in a wonderful state with beautiful landscapes.
