| Baby's Ear - This afternoon I did this quick little painting as a relaxation exercise. It's approx 8w x 7h pastel (pan, soft, pencil) on black paper. |

| This watercolor of squash it absolutely awesome. The technique, colors, and use of the medium is terrific and you have obviously worked on developing your own style. |

Although I've read this message board for some time, I have never submitted anything before. However, the concept of a spiral, helix or coil is exciting, particularly as I recently finished a small collage with that theme. I hope you like it. The collage is in the style of Jonathan Talbot and only 3 inches square. When I frame it, it will probably be about 12" square with 2 or 3 mats around it.

I've had this idea for a paintinting entitled "Moonlight Becomes Her" for quite a while, but was never able to quite work it out. When I read about your Super Spirals challenge, I had a burst of inspiration, and here is the result. Thanks, and keep the challenges coming!

Hi again! I don't usually do abstracts, but when I think of spirals, I think of the universe, so here's "Nova" (9"x9" watercolor).

Oops . Instructions said 100 pixels. Must have read wrong. Here is Nova again. It's really neat to see how many different interpretations of spirals everyone has. Looking forward to more ...

Nebular A nice piece of artwork! I agree with you on your framing idea: I did a 3"x3" painting once, matted and framed it with a thin matching filet - and to my surprise, it sold right away!

Here's one more that I just couldn't resist. It's only 3" x 4.5" - I was actually practicing some ideas with acrylic for a possible larger artwork (inspired by my latest attempt at spirals and abstract). This one turned out really cool, so I may just do that "larger art work". What do you think? I call it "Mini Cosmos".

Hi, Robin! I can hardly wait to see your digital art...won't you try again? If you still can't do it, I'm willing to give you my phone number and walk you through it. I don't know if this is OK by the forum rules, but email me at: lorena@fineartstudio111.com if you want to connect for this. Anyway....thought I'd let you know. "Giving up" are not words in my vocabulary, although, Heaven knows, I've been often tempted to do so. Lorena
Posted By robingeer on 04/03/2008 3:21 PM I tried but couldn't get the image to go up so I gave up.
Then I was not able to erase the post!

Hello all. I am new to both this web site and with posting my art. Actually I've been painting many years, but have kept it to myself mostly. This year, I've made a promise to myself to stop hiding and start letting my art show! So I've attached my latest acrylic painting - size is 12 x 16. The spirals are in the water. Hope you like it.
Thanks

Then I was not able to erase the post! Hi, Robin, I have to agree with Lorena on this one. Many people have trouble posting their first image, but if you let us help you, I'm pretty sure you'll soon be able to load images with the best of 'em. That will make your forum experience so much richer. You can contact Lorena at the email she offered above (she's a veteran at this!) or you can contact me at artistsnetwork@fwpubs.com. Also, the forum is set up so that members can't remove their posts once they're submitted. If you really, really insist on having your post removed, I can do that, but I'd rather you let us help you get your image posted. Best, Holly Administrator of Artists Network forums

I've done another spiral painting. The first was named by my mom as "guru guru maki" or crazy spiral. This is another one and you'll never guess what the name is I gave it. Guru guru maki II! Original huh? Oh well here it is. Jim
