One of my favorite memories is of a trip we took to Barcelona - I was totally enthralled with the architecture of Antoni Gaudi - The Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, La Padrera, and so many more... I would love to visit there again one day...

My favorite place is near the water. In my childhood that was the nearby city pool where we were almost every summer day. When I was a little older, the family rented cottage space at the beach in Angola, NY and also did many weekend trips to the local beaches. There was also Crystal Beach in Ontario, Canada (I know at least one person on this thread will recognize these names!) which also was a great amusement park. The amusement park itself is gone now, but as an adult I still go to that beach. Memories of fun in the water, buttered sandwiches (with sand in them sometimes), sunburn and peaceful exhaustion! Also, reliving a few trips to the Outer Banks! "At the Beach" is acrylic, 40x30 and was just finished at the end of Feb. 08. Paul

What beautiful work in this forum, very uplifting and inspiring. The painting I am submitting is one created this summer in acrylic on stretched. The scene brings together all the wonders of the region of Maine I live and paint in.... Mt Katahdin, Mt Kineo and Borestone surrounded by pristine lakes and forest providing abundant habitat for the wildlife (like Maine's  monarch Bull moose) and inspiration to many artists such as myself! I will dream and paint here forever.  The work title: Paradise   Medium: Acrylic  Size: 18"x24" Year Completed: 7/07  Inspiration: North Woods Maine Thank you, Suzette

The British Virgin Islands are my favorites. My latest painting of that beautiful place is entitled "Caribbean Garden," a 22" x 30" watercolor.

Enjoy!

My favorite place is my hometown, a place where I spent the early part of my life.

This is one of my favorite places.  This is a painting of a gallery in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.  I call it "The Gallery at Boulder Junction" but it's real name is 'the Studio'.  It was painted the first week of October when the light was so special, the colors were beautiful and the leaves were beginning to fall.  Boulder Junction is in the North Woods of Wisconsin - hundreds of lakes and tall pines and birches- a very beautiful place.

I love to visit the harbour/wildlife refuge near my home (Lake Ontario) especially in the early morning.  There are hundreds of swans, ducks, geese and other waterfowl.  Sometimes it sounds like the horn section of a big band warming up.

This one is called Mute Elegance - 12 x 29" watercolour

This is my favorite place, I do visit it often.  Here is where I find a wonder of settings and at times dream in color.

This is the first time putting anything up on Artists' Network. This a painting I completed recently, following a workshop to learn about the mixed media technique I used here. The painting is called 'Early Morning in Montaigut'. My favourite place is Montaigut-le-Blanc in the Auvergne province of France. I was very lucky to have gone there twice for painting workshops. It is a beautiful, quiet, rural place amongst the volcanic region (Massif). I hope my painting gives you a sense of the morning softness of the place.

This is my second favorite place. It's a beautiful and magical town in the Mediteranian where I'd like to visit and do some shopping but I can't. You see, I imagine this town by combining two places together. Enjoy!

Just a reminder to all Paint-Off entrants to include the name, medium and dimensions of your entry.

We have a great set of entries so far--and according to my clock, there are still about three more hours to enter.

The best to you all,
