This is a beautiful drawing - you have a very expressive and sensitive line. Keep Drawing!

this is my first attempt, and it took me a little more than an hour to complete And I absolutely hated it. It has grown on me a bit since then but at the time I thought it made me look like a ghoul and could have been a halloween decoration   it's colored pencil approx 8x10" on lavendar colored paper

this is my 4th attempt and it took me abt 45 minutes to complete. (when the 1/2 hour was up I still had not added the eyes lips background etc) I did not bother photographing my 2nd attempt.

It is watercolor approx 9x12"

Great idea!!! I will work on a self portrait to submit also! It's a way to get me started again - the 30 mins may help eliminate my procrastinating ways!!

Well the challenge did not keep me from procratinating - I had way too much on my plate!! Soooo rather than spend my 30 mins working on proportions I set a timer, took a photo of myself, enlarged the outline, quickly put identifying marks for feature placement and then spent the remaining time scumbling pastel dust and using colored pencils for details! Unfortunately I used a piece of copier paper (because I figured it wouldn't come out well!) and now I actually like it!! Guess I'll have to do it again!!
Here is the drawing
