| Wow!! I'd hate to be the one who has to narrow the field to... what is it....3 choices?!!! Yikes! There is so much great work here! And I have noticed that a lot are from artists who have not posted much before! I truly hope you all will post more in your respective forums. I would love to see more!!
On vacation I sit and stare at the ocean wondering how I would paint it...well I finally gave it a try. I'll call it Surfside; it's 8x10; watercolor, pthalo blue and cad orange hue |

Here is my entry. Using Cadmium Red Light and Phthalo Blue plus Titanium White (tried it without the White but couldn't get the highlights I wanted). It's called Summer Dreams. Being stuck behind a desk this summer, I'm dreaming about the seashore. 5 x 7 on Canvas Board.

Hello All
My 1st entry in several months .Was working full time and had no time for painting... Thought I'd try this challenge. I used acrylic paints, Navy blue and bright orange and also some white . Lots of fabulous paintings entered so far.. Never thought there could be so many things you can do with so little..... Good work everyone!!!

Deedee, You really got a lot out of these two colors. Well done. Bernof or should I call you Fred. My Prussian Blue just sits in my box because I could never get the variety you got in this picture. Good values and nice reflections. Hope to see more of you paintings. Kathy |

This is "Still Life with Toy Pony (design 11)", part of a series I'm working on. The painting is watercolor and I used only Prussian blue and perinone orange. My intention was to have fun with contrasting pure pigment against gray. It was fun!

| This is an acrylic painting on canvas done with ultramarine blue and cadmium red light with a small amount of white. Most of the white areas are the canvas showing through. It was a good challenge. |

Title: "Divine Dream" 9x12 Acrylic on canvas
This painting was a vision I had in a dream. It is of an Icelandic horse, though they are small they are very powerful. I like to think of myself as the same. Small in stature but not in heart. I gave this painting to my beloved husband for his birthday as a reminder of a goal we have set to travel there some day.

| Orange Rose by Emily Young. 4.5" x 4.5" watercolor on watercolor paper. One blue and one orange were used with no white. This was a complementary study of a rose. |

Painted on white paper with:
Persian Blue
Orange
Size : 12" by 8"
I would like to call it "OTHER COLOURS".
Comment:- Here i try to maximise the use of white paper instead of too much orange or blue.I mixed the 2 colours for the skin tone to show other coloured people in my country. Its a scene of a family during dusk. |

| This painting is called 'Choices.' It is inspired by the life and death of Christ and the mental anguish born to those who are enslaved by religion.
8x11 watercolor. This is also my first watercolor painting. Thanks for the project. I had a lot of fun playing with color variation and ideas. I'm a little disappointed with the image quality, hopefully soon I can invest in some real technology.
