Pastel  8 x 10  on Hahnemühle Velour Paper

This was quite a challenge, painting an all-white dog, but I tried to mix in some very light warm and cool colors for contrast.

Hi, artisttoni,

I'm right here, hoping I can help. Are you talking about the link in the first entry of this thread? There may have been a temporary blip in the software. I just tried it and it worked, but if you still have trouble, try this URL: http://forum.artistsnetwork.com/Home/tabid/53/view/topic/forumid/16/postid/10033/Default.aspx

If that doesn't work, go the the forum entitle "Artists Network Forums FAQs" (it's at the top of the list). Then look for the thread called "How do I post art?"

All three paths lead to the same instructions. If you still have trouble, let me know.

Rusty II is my entry for the Wonder of White.  Rusty is our apricot poodle, okay there are a few little rust spots on him, hence the name Rusty but basically he is white.  I wanted to draw him but I had so many pictures I liked of him I couldn't pick so I decided to use several of them.  In a sense I was trying to illustrate the many roles Rusty plays in life.  Rusty II was a house warming present for my son as he really misses Rusty now he, my son, has grown up and left home.  He would love to have a dog but his hours are too long and crazy for a pet right now.
Rusty is 14 x 18, graphite on museum board.  www.artbywendy.com   www.artbywendysblog.blogspot.com

Hi:

I have two big magnolia trees in my yard. They produce magnificent white fllowers every summer. The flowers are always HUGH the size of saucers or dinner plates. Last summer I picked one and photograped it intending to paint it some days. These flowers will last a few days after picking. Then they start to wilt. I like them wilted a little because they have more characters that way.

This is called :-  " Dancing Magnolia"

Acrylic on canvas panel

Size 9" by 12"

Our lake has a fluctuating water level. When the lake freezes at a high level, and the level drops through the course of the winter, the ice will break away from objects that were once surrounded. This leaves behind what I call "Skirts." This is named "Tree Skirt" Acrylic, 9x12 canvas sheet

This is my entry.  "Spring Rapids" 18x24, pastel on paper.  I love painting white, and actually do it quite often.  I love painting my dogs, both of whom are white (American Bulldogs).  Thanks!

I tried to post this before, but apparently no luck, so I am trying again.   This is "White Pickets"  watercolor on Arches paper about 11x14.

Spring Blossoms is a 12" x 17 1.2" Watercolor.  The play of light and shadow called me to paint this picture.  I hope you all enjoy it.

This is transparent watercolor (no white paint used) on Arches 140CP 16 x 20 from a photo(with permission!) by Canadian wildlife photographer Ken Newcombe. I have titled this Snowy Owl the "Lord of the Dance" for his balancing act upon the fence post!

Entering two of my favorites: Swan Lake and Courtyard III.  The "colors" of white have always fascinated me.  Love the entries so far!   Thanks for looking.

Beautiful, Diana!  I'd love a couple of lessons. This is a challenge that I've been interested in for so long...  pen and ink are my first love.
