Sorry, Priti,

I'd help if I could, but the original photo size is too small. When I enlarge the photo, it becomes very pixelated--not good. As a rule of thumb, when you post a photo, you want it to be 72 dpi and about 300 to 500 pixels wide.

Good for you, Priti--you fixed the image yourself! I removed the duplicate.

(You do realize, though, that this isn't a still life. Lovely painting, even so.)

oops... sorry, can't believe i forgot about the still life part. Well, at least i am getting better at posting. Your hint about the dpi and pixels was helpful.

I was married in June (yes, a June bride). So my summer still-life is of a few of the items from the wedding. Titled "The Bride's Things" Acrylic on canvas, 16 x 20

Hi, I decided to set up another of my own still life for the summer challenge and hope it's okay to post it since I recently added one before for this event. My first thoughts of summer eating watermelons, peaches, plums etc. Done in acrylics on canvas paper. Lil

Hello, Art4Me,

To answer your question, it's perfectly fine to post more than one entry to a Paint-Off challenge. No more than one entry per artist will be selected as a finalist, though. That way everyone can enter as ofter as he or she wants, but no one person will sweep up all the finalist positions.

My husband usually comes up with the names for my paintings. He thought this one to be "After the Parade." It is oil on paper and is 19 x 25.

Nothing reminds me of late summer more than apples fresh from the tree.   This is a small painting about 5" x 7" in size, unmatted. The painting is called  "Simply, Two Apples".   It was done with NuPastel and Great American Artworks pastels by Gene Sampson, Grand Rapids, Mi.

This is an outdoor still life painting in watercolor on Arches bright white paper. I used mainly Holbein and Winsor Newton watercolors. It is called Garden of promises and is 22 x 15 inches.

"Glads", watercolor on paper, 9" x 12". Painted from life during one of the hottest weeks of the summer (and we didn't have central air!)
