When my sister and I would go over to Nanna's house, my aunt would give each of us a PEZ. Here is a sample of my collection.
9x6.75 inches, soft pastel on sanded Wallis paper. This is the first time I've used sanded paper. very different than canson. |

| Great job. Yes, sanded paper is so different from Canson. I prefer it by a long shot. This is a real winner! |

Retha, what a treasure Dirkie must be to you! No wonder you consider this doll the "best toy ever."
Grace, doodles have helped me through many meetings and
classes--and they're probably responsible for helping many artists
develop their skills and ideas. Let's hear it for doodling.
Justine, I remember Pez! Wish I'd kept some of my old dispensers.
Thanks to all of you for sharing.

My grandson loves his stuffed dogs. He choses one to take on every trip we go on. They have traveled to Italy, to the Caribbean and, of course all of them are necessary for a good night's sleep. I did this particular painting for our Christmas Card. It's called "Dreaming of Sugar Plums". The dog with the red spots is called Rosso - meaning red in Italian - and the large stuffed brown dog below his arm is called Pony.... named after the huge Rhodesian Ridgeback dog who lives next door.

So glad you posted your art, Marian. My daughter, an independently minded college student who just left to study in Spain for a semester, took her favorite childhood stuffed animal with her. Those critters really take hold, don't they?!
Incidentally, could you let us know the medium and demensions of your artwork?
Thanks,

| Me too, Justine... It was a chilly and wet one today wasn't it! Tomorrow promises to be wetter, wilder and colder here... so a comfy blanket and maybe a stuffed toy sounds really good! |

Marian, Very nice, I see the dog with the red spots but were you referring to one under his arm...I can't see that one. Thought I would try you site, still can't see the other dog, are there two or am I missunderstanding your discription. Anyway, How cute is this painting. Justine, Mickeys head is perfect. Richard Petty's helmet #1, great job. Rosie |

You're right, Rosie,.. the big dog under my grandson's arm isn't very recognizable in this painting... It's all squished up and partly covered up.. But it IS a big floppy brown dog named Pony. He hangs out with Rosso, the one with the red spots in the painting that you CAN recognize, Rocky a floppy yellow dog and Max, a build a bear-type dog with a T-shirt.
BTW... I LOVE your various artwork. I remember playing jacks as a kid while sitting or lying on the floor.. something I rarely do these days.. hard to get up again. The dog with his ball and your little darlings with their stuffed toys are precious too! Love them all! You do beautiful work.

This my first entry in this forum. Hope I get it right. This is my favorite old toy - Marbles.
This CP is 7" x 9" on Stonehenge.

Thanks Rosie. It was a fun painting. I set the still life up in a school playground and put the camera on the asphalt for the shot.

Wow! These are all so cool...I'm glad I'm not judging, it would be hard to pick just one!!! Love the marbles, brought back some really great memories. Made me a little homesick, sad and angry also. The angry part is from losing my favorite aggie, but I guess that's part of the game! I'm really hoping to get an entry in, but it's not looking too good right now... Mike |

This marble painting is great. I assume, from the use of Stonehenge, that it is done with colored pencil??? Good luck on this one. I'm still trying to get started on an entry, but I've been caught up on paintings for a few local art competitions, lately. Maybe can still work on one, if I work REALLY fast! I'm glad you got one in...............Gene |
