Sorry, this Paint-Off challenge is closed for entries.

Welcome to our third All-Media Paint-Off!

This time, I'm choosing the image, graciously submitted by forum member AJ Wainwright.
I ask that all postings of art in this paint-off be inspired by the attached photo. Feel free to adapt the image for your use and style.  For a larger image of the picture, please click here.

It's not necessary to use the entire image and don't feel as though realism must be the end result. But please do not post an image, say, of a car that you painted two months ago.  Unrelated postings will be removed (and no one wants that).

Once again, you have two months to paint, draw, collage, what have you. This prompt will be closed on October 1, 2007.

Best of luck and happy painting!

Yours,
Lisa

Lisa, When you get the image posted, can you tell us how to download it so we can print it? I don't want to try to paint it from my computer monitor. Thanks for any help in that issue.........I am kind of restricted in my computer knowledge. Thanks.........Gene

Gene, you should be able to right click it and copy and paste or save as, that's what I have done in the past.

Gene, You are welcome! Also, if you can find an e mail option, right click or in File, you can usually make the kb smaller too so that it uploads faster. I am really excited about this one, I don't think I have ever heard of so many people painting the same thing, in so many different mediums! And, unlike a studio there is time to be really creative with it, what a challenge! Everyone will have to sit down at the easel for this one, no oldies but goodies!

Is there any way for us to acquire a higher resolution version of this image? So we can zoom in and see more detail?

Thanks!

I found this to be very challenging...this is my second attempt.  I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what others create!

Collage, 5x7, oil and paper on clayboard

Kim, I really like your collage! Beautiful! Love the repeated red flowers!
I agree, this was challenging! Here is my attempt. Pastel, 18 x 24 on Canson Mi-Tientes Paper

Hi all..... Well, I've never done a picture with oil pastels before....but I thought the angel looked like a fun project, so I grabbed the nearest paper on the desk (which was folded up and I didn't even bother to unfold it) and my kids' oil pastels and just had some fun. It was a nice break from the month + long stippling projects. It was very satisfying to do a fast project. Thanks for posting this as a subject. It was fun Jess

For Dale, who asked about "right click" meaning, is on PC a click of the right mouse button brings up a menu including "save as" or "copy" ... Sorry, can anyone help this MAC owner? I tried to send the pic, but the mail kept returning, you must have a heck of a spam blocker! Good Luck! Trying to copy the pic so it can be blown up.....
