Question ; While on another forum I found an intrigueing thread.
Customer goes to a frame shop with a picture she's purchased. It is an original on heavy watercolor paper.
Image is 35 3/4 by 18 3/4
Paper is 38 by 22 3/4
Frame requested is 37 1/4 by 20 1/4 needed to fit specific location in home
She wants the frame shop to make it work - trim the piece to fit the frame. Is this a reasonable request? Only the border would be afffected not the art itself. Are there any legal ramifications for the frame shop if they proceed with job? What rights does the artist retain after piece is sold? |
