Hi, I would like to know, if I use Gesso on top of a wood board that has acrylic sealer on the back ( to prevent any moisture to get in from backside). Then paint with acrylic paints on that Gesso. Can that painting be used in high moisture areas like bathroom or behind cooktops . Also, there will be high temperature from the burners near the cooktop, will the gesso prevent the wood from being overheated?
I want to use this painting on the backsplash (even when I am cooking) by hanging on a hook, so I can remove it whenever I want.
