Hello,
I've been a silent admirer of all the talent showcased on this website. Over the summer (after having heart surgery), I took up painting. Well, I fell in love with sketching, colored pencils, soft pastels, watercolors, and acrylics! I read everything I could, went to tons of websites, and checked out how-to shows on television.
The advice I really need is on acrylics. My love/hate relationship is simple: the finished product looks so rich, yet when I paint, I find that I have no fine tuning abilities. I can paint details with watercolors but not with acrylics. I use Galeria in the tubes and have even watered them down hoping that might work. What type of paper do most use?
Any advice would be most helpful. Thank you.
