I like the beautiful darks in the first piece, and the luminous greens that have passages of both translucence and opacity. The still life is subtle and has a lovely sense of quietude. You seem to be a good draftsman, and I appreciate your aesthetic. I suggest only that you do a series of pictures on one theme or one subject, because I feel as if you're ready for a breakthrough, and the best way to encourage that is to one painting after another--without worrying too much about any one of them.
