This is a work in progress. It is done with palette knife, no brushes. I wanted a looser feel but I am not sure about the background, colour/style. Sugestions would be welcome. Thanks Catherine

The "background" should be a part of the painting. Maybe set up the still life again in front of a landscape, or a window, or a mirror. A kitchen, even.

The apples look like you could eat them up. The color is so rich. i am not to good at sugjestions for the background as my art skills are really not that good but I love art and this captured my eye. Thanks, Jtm
