Hi Artist Friends....

This is my most recent portrait from life -- something I don't get to do often enough.  It was painted this fall at a Studio / Gallery of a friend.   The model was a young lady about to leave for college, if I remember correctly.  It was her first attempt at modelling.  Her Mother watched on as several of us painted her for a little less than two hours.  The lighting was a single strong source almost behind her.

It's oil on stretched cotton canvas, 16 x 20 landscape.  The canvas was toned with acrylic prior to beginning.

Thanks for your criticisms...

Keep Painting!

Bruce

Bruce---This is a very nice piece. I bet her mother liked it, too! The eyes are very well done and really seem to be looking at sosmething.I also like the line quality and color choices---a fairly limited pallet and well used. My favorite compliments. wish I could be as successful on a live model!!!Thanks for posting.
