Hi from Oregon,
Weather is changing on the coast. This mom and child didn't seem to mind. Thinking of submitting this in our Local jurored show next month. Never seem to be able to get in. Looking for honest critiques before putting this painting to bed.

beautiful painting, captures a light and happy mood, carefree and bittersweet. the water is glossy and transparent. i like the touches of the seagulls, and the colours of the mountain are done perfectly. nothing extra and nothing missing. very nice, good luck on your exhibition!

Hi Piratesss & Dale,
Thank you for your support and comments! Dale I framed it in a Frosted Pewter which took on a blue hint that matched the water nicely. I did a double mat with the inside mat dark burgendy. Did care for the mat after I put it all together since the frame was soft like the water. But, it made Honorable mention at the Celebrate Art Show (yea- I got accepted after a 3 year dry spell) and it sold... which is an extra bonus.
Have a great week painting.
