My latest oil paintings are about an abandoned town in Baja CA Mexico called El Triunfo. It was a wealthy gold and silvewr mining town in the 1800's and the Spanish people who lived there had grand pianos shipped around Cape to Loreto Baja then down to El Triunfo. There is now a Museo de Musica there and some of the pianos were dug out of the desert..fascinating. My paintings about this town started with pianos in the desert and evolved into taking printed sheet music( laser printed) cutting it and gluing amonst the clouds. I have sold several of these and they are large oils.

seems to me that you center of interest is too dark and doesn't come forward like I would like it to or is it the photograph that is underexposed. It is a strain to see the lady and the piano.
