| IMVHO,your focal point the flower needs greater contrast to draw the eye to it. Maybe deepen the darks of the flower. When I first saw your painting which is lovely btw, I looked at the flower briefly, but then my eyes were draw to the large bright white shape of the leaf above left of the flower. It seems to overpower the flower. Again IMVHO, I feel like it should be a supporting player to the flower.
I am new at critiquing, so please take what I say with a grain of salt. |

| Your painting is too flat. The flower reminds me of a gal sitting on the side waiting for someone to ask her to dance. She doesn't come forward at least for me. And I wouldn't ask her to the dance floor. I think that it needs more dimension or depth.

| I think it is a lovely flower, but agree that you need more contrast. If you deepen your darks I think it will give it more defination. |

I agree with some of the comments above, I think is has very nice detail, but my eye too is drawn to the white spot about the focal point. It may be the photo, it is hard to get them to look the same on the web. I also agree, to really pop it, darken some of your darks so the center flower stands out. Otherewise, I think it is a nice painting. cindy |
