Hi, I am new to this forum and just wanted to get some feedback on my new website and portfolio. My name is Alison and I am a young artist from Pennsylvania currently studying painting at laceName>EdinborolaceName> laceType>UniversitylaceType> (attended the Cleveland Institute of Art).  I have been working on my website for a couple of days now and it is about half finished.  I just wanted some other artistic people to give me some encouragement and/or constructive criticism; for both the website in general and my work as well.  Thanks and please let me know what you think by leaving me a comment or signing the guestbook on my site! Alison, Very nice site and lovely and inspired art. Do you have a strategy to draw traffic? I can give you some tips but I don't want to tell you stratgies you may already be planning. Now that you have a site getting traffic is the next thing to tackle. Your Meta tags look great under view source except the keywords are way too broad to get any traffic. You'll be buried a gazillion deep. Londg tail and niche keywords are where you need to start plus write a page about your studio with your town or city to draw in any local traffic. You need to write articles about on topic themes after doing your keyword research or you can have the articles written for as little as $10 per 500 word article.The Google, Yahoo and Msn spiders will be happy to send you traffic on low competition keyword traffic? There I went and gave advice you may already know anyway and may be working on, but maybe someone else benefited. I am routing for your success.

Thank you so much for such great advice, I started the site in late August and since then have gotten about 2,000 hits, but your advice is awesome.  They are things I never would have thought of; very valuable.. Thank you for rooting for me!  I need as much support as I can get!

Enjoyable prints! I think some more thought in the area of composition could only help your good work get to be even better. I really like the way you are using light to create atmosphere for the subjects. it's kind of like a good fingerprint for you, keep working on it, your doing fine. For an art student to be doing such good work is impressive, your in the right field of work.
