Hi everyone-
I just joined here today. At 50 years old - I have decided to stop wishing I would have pursued my dream of being an artist, and just do it! So a year ago, I picked up my first pastel and I haven't stopped since. I'm still learning.. reading.. and absorbing everything I can. Once I find my way around this network, I would love to get critiques on my work. I'm on fine art america... come take a look!

Welcome to the forum. It is always a welcome to see new talent. I had a peak at your website. Very impressive. Accolades to you. You have done well... In a short time I might add. You must have always has a creative side to you.
You will find this network is a friendly bunch. Looking forward to sharing thought and ideas as well as the art. Art is such and infinite subject.

Hi, Cathy. I just joined and was wandering down the list of posting when I found yours. I immediately felt a connection with you since you are also doing a "later in life" switch to what you really want to do - create art. I have done the same thing this year but at 63 which is much "later in life". Would love to here how you have structured your steps toward this new and wonderful goal.

Hi Cathy,
I'm new here too. Also a pastel artist and also a late bloomer. I took a peak at your Art in America site. I would love to hear how that website is working out for you as I am also looking for a venue to sell my art.
