Hello all,
I am writing from the American Midwest, though I call the sunny South my home. I would not presume to call myself an artist, but I am certainly a dilettante! I have problems with procrastination, so I am hoping this community will help me get my rear in gear.
I dabble in acrylics, though I would love to learn how to use oils. Charcoal, pastels, pen and ink...they are all my friends. Perhaps I will post a couple of things to get an honest critique. I just can't trust my family and friends to offer constructive criticism.
Pleased to "meet" you all. |

| Welcome! Great to have you here. Even though you are from the south, it's great to have someone else from the Midwest around! |

Hello, everyone I registered today on this Forum but I haven't had the time to go through it and admire the good artwork shown in the threads I've seen. I'm a retired architect and painting has been my life dream. For many years I have experimented with various mediums, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pastel. My favorite subjects are landscapes, seascapes, still life with flowers, and occasionally I dabble with abstracts using acrylics. I feel very comfortable working in oil or pastels, my favorite mediums. |
