Hi, all.  I'm a watercolorist who lost her way 40 years ago.  Dropped out of art studies in college and found my way back just two years ago.  Maturity does wonders, but I do wish I'd gotten a good, solid formal educational background in the field.  (Not that I didn't use the education I did receive, but that was in different areas entirely.)  I have taken a few watercolor classes, the first of which recalled to me my early love and made me decide to pursue it seriously once again.  I have, since, also benefitted from a very generous artist neighbor who mentored me for a time.  What a wonderful learning opportunity the artistic community can provide!  In any case, I've gotten to the point of selling some of my work recently, and have had a piece in a local juried show, so I figure I must be getting somewhere with it.  I'm always looking for more info, though, and always willing to share what tidbits I've learned.  So I figured I'd join this forum and maybe enter some of the competitions offered here.  I look forward to inacting with you all.  See you around.  --GrammyM
