Art for Art Lovers Retreat is best suited for one to four persons, or two couples. It is two floors with a bed and  breakfast layout. The cost of the art retreat is $250 weekly, $700 Monthly (In the Winter Months rates will be slightly higher). Lessons and Workshops Priced Separately. Below you will find a written description of the house. Surrounded by Oak trees, the home of the art retreat sits on a hillside in the Historic District of downtown Fort Payne. It is minutes from some of the world’s most beautiful vistas, including Desoto State Park, Little River Canyon, and Lookout Mountain. The Art Retreat faces east with a view of hills and mountains beyond. The entrance to the first floor (ground floor) is a large living room. The room has five large windows overlooking a wrap-around porch. This room can be used for a writing area as well as a cool retreat during the summer. A fireplace can be lit to keep any chill away. Also on the first level is a large studio equipped with easels and a sink. There is a large dining room as well as a kitchen and sitting-sleeping room on the first floor. The computer station sits in a corner of the kitchen. The kitchen opens to a large deck on the rear of the house. On the second floor are four bedrooms and a full size bath. All of the rooms are comfortable and large. They offer plenty of privacy. Art for Art Lovers Retreat is normally available for three seasons a year, March through October. Retreats are by the week or month. The week normally begins with Saturday. While the house is also available for use during November through February please understand the conditions that you may find during this time. In winter, there is usually little or no snow and it very rarely below freezing, but both can occur. Meals are not included except for some kitchen privileges. The town has several restaurants, pizzerias, markets and more - minutes from the Art for Art Lovers Retreat.

Hi Christine, I just read your post asking about the location of the retreat. I'm in the northeast part of Alabama, near the Georgia, Tennessee line. Hope to hear from you. Ann Hamilton, Director
