I am interested in, and dabble in, quite a few forms of art but I am mainly a fibre artist and work with hand-painted (acrylics) 100% cotton and use my sewing machine to 'paint' in the detail ... my needle becomes my brush.

Totally looking forward to meeting new friends in art and I will thoroughly enjoy touring this site.

I am from Ontario, Canada.

Welcone Sharron Elizabeth!
I love fiber art! My better half's mother does quilting and man, she does some nice stuff! I've tried to get Cheryll (my better half) to do some quilting, but she just doesn't have the time...I'm guessing quilting can be considered fiber art? I have seen some fantastic pieces made by members of art societies that I belong to and I'm always amazed at the colors of the materials used!
Can't wait to see your work.

Thank you Mike and jt32 for the warm welcome. Quilts are lovely and I admire anyone who does them and they are most certainly considered fibre art. But I work on a smaller level, making pieces that can be framed. Is there a place to post pieces?

I am having a good time nosing around the place and hope to become more familiar with the members here.

Thanx again, Sharron
