Hello from the Chicago area. I have subscribed to all the artists mags for years but to finally check into this website and find such a great community and such nice helpful people. Well, it's great. I just turned 61. I have been dabbling in art my whole life {well , since age 4}but raising a big family and a career took up most of my time for years. Now I'm retired and have time to pursue it full time. How do some people get their picture above their username? I'm learning about navigating around this website and I'm afraid ,not getting things right sometimes. After you post a painting , how do you take it down when you want it ended? Or does it automatically come off after a period of time? Any info you could give would be appreciated,

Welcome! You don't need to take down your artwork. It moves down the list as more and more work is added to the forum. To add your picture to your name.....you need to click on "my profil" at the top of this page. I think it tells you what to do when you're there......putting in your pic (avatar). I've found that after you download you pic.....it may not show up right away. If you log out and then log back in....it might show up or you may have to check back later in the day. Good luck

Once you are in "my profile"........ it will say "edit profile" on your bio page. Click on that and down near the bottom, it gives you a place to choose a pic for your avatar.
