| Hey ya'll, I'm almost new to this forum, I think I was a member a few years ago, but I couldn't remember my username or password, so here I am again. I do a little bit of everything...Jack of all trades, master of none. I try though. I specialize in pencil but I dabble in oil pastels, pastels, and colored pencil. I am a self (family) taught artist, that is, I learned everything by watching my parents and my sister draw. My mother used to do pastels and my father was good at painting, and pen and ink. I worked hard at perfecting my pencil techniques, and I am working on perfecting my pastels and oil pastels. I have a realistic style though and am working toward trying to find an impressionistic style. Something looser than what I have now.
I also love digital drawing because you can do it anywhere you can take a laptop.
I have a small home business in portraits between homeschooling my children and at night I work in a children's hospital, so I stay really busy.

That's a beautiful area of Texas. I live in the DFW area, which is just...hot. Lots of art stores though!
