I'm new here and just wanted to say Hi.  My name is Kelly and I mainly do pencil portraits. I also love pen and ink. Right now I am trying to get my art out more.  I've done a lot of work for family and friends, but I really want to do something with it.  I look forward to meeting everyone.  There aren't too many people around here to discuss art with.

Talk to you later

Kelly

Can't wait to see your work...

P.S. I think we all got started doing art for family and friends. It's good place to start!

Hi, I'm Pixie, as in username! I have been trying to find the spot where I can introduce myself! Answered two others in the process and this is the third! I live in Canada, and enjoy doing artwork when I can. I belong to an art group in our area. We now have 10 members, down a few from last year. I work mostly in watercolor and lately I have added pen and ink to the watercolor as well! Mostly I do landscapes. I'm not much into still lifes as the vase sides never seem to match!!! However, I noticed some other still lifes that don't have vases, so, I'll be looking into doing something else instead for a still life!! I have been asked to do a commissioned piece of a dog, my choice of medium. I thought I would try pastel and/or charcoal would work. Not sure I could get an acrylic done of her before July 3 as that is when I'll be taking it to the people who want it! Any idea how much I should ask for doing this artwork? No frame as I have to travel by bus. Perhaps a watercolor could be done while I'm there!!! Thanks.
