Subject: What do the stars mean?

Hi there;  I am brand new to this and am enjoying it already but am trying to figure out what the yellow or grey stars next to things mean.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Hopefully I can get on here ok. My daughter"s boyfriend has classed me as 'technologially challenged'. I don't think I'm that bad, but there are days when those things won't work like I was 'taught'!!! Great subject for the next paint-off challenge. Would like to participate, access to the computer will be the problem for July and August, so we will see what happens, otherwise, in Sept, I'll have to go for it!!!Until then, Pixie.

The stars are a rating system for particular threads. Click on a star to let others know a thread is useful or enjoyable.
