Hello...I joined the other day and am very impressed with the seriousness of the members. I live in Florida and paint in oils, I have been painting and drawing for many years. Mostly, I paint portraits and occasionally a still life. We have a resource here where we can paint and draw from live models.I take advantage of that as much as I can.. I live on the ocean and whenever I think I might do a sea scene, I get a canvas ready and then chnge my mind and go back to my portrait work. I will post a painting or two as soon as I decide which to photograph. So, thank you for having me. Junerose

Welcome Junerose - hope to see your paintings soon. Florida is such a beautiful place, I visit at least once a year (Fort Myers)

My name is walt kozier.I am a retired business owner and have picked up some old ideas on painting mediums. I studied under Jacque Maroger at The Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore in the late 40's.Check Jacque Maroger in your search bar. He rediscovered the old masters techniques and the medium they used. I was taught how to make the medium. Currently I am preparing a DVD on a simple process to have a fresh medium whenever you want it. It is absolutely great for glazing in oil. If you wish to know more about this I can be reached at >wkozier@ stny.rr.com<
