I am a 73 yr old great grandmother self-taught portrait artist.  I work in oil most of the time, also in colored pencil, pastel and qouache.  I sometimes do other paintings other than portraits.

My husband, Jim and I have recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary.  We have 5 daughter, son-in-laws and 11 grandchildren, plus step grandchildren and great grandchildren.  I paint portraits of family, and others.

I hope to upload 2 portraits.  One 18 x 24 Oil I painted from a black and white photo of our Wedding.  Our daughter, Teresa made an Anniversary Invitation with the Portrait.  Since we married in a double wedding with my cousin, Georgia and her husband Jimmy in CA, I did their portrait and sent it to them as an Anniversary gift. It will be the second one here.

I love to read The Artist's Magazine.  I welcome anyone's comments.

Thank You Lady and Kathy for your nice comments,
Haven't had time for art this year. Jim, my husband started the year out with pneumonia in hospital, was put on antibotics to clear that, but had to have open heart surgery in Feb. He is doing better, but was told he had Atrial Fibrillation of the heart (irregular fast heart beat that can throw a blood clot and cause a stroke etc), which they are trying to treat with medicine. He has to be on oxygen, hopefully not too much longer, he feels so tied down because he has always been an outside person. He grew up in TN country, a fishing man.
