Just happy to be here!  Took a 20 year detour from painting, worked as a tecnical illustrator with Boeing.  Jumped over to photogaphy for that time so have lots of good source material to work from.  Hope to get a better image of the pastel to add here!

Hi Kathryn,

Skipped over to your web site..what a nice fresh style, not overworked, the cats are so animated.  Liked how you let the blanket, cloth effect hang down in the one cat pastel.   You told me something that I needed to hear!  Not to stop with this one pastel but begin to develope new work.  My upcomming workshop with Susan Ogilvie should be the big kick in the pants that I need to get back to the easel.  Check out Susan's website sometime.   Sara

HI Kathy - checked out your website and I love your use of color. "Now that I'm up here...what do I do?" is so cute. Keep up the good work.

Sarah - really nice portrait. Alot of detail. Next time, try to get it a bit bigger when posting. Great work though.

Sara...a gorgeous painting after 20 years!!!  Just a reference point when photographing your beautiful artwork:  take your photo without a mat, frame or background showing so as not to distract from the artwork.  Keep up the work and enter into competitions, if you haven't already!

Hi! Sara,
I love your portrait. I am 73 yrs old, big family, really really behind in what I wanted to do in art. Hope I have a few more years of sight to keep painting.
