Not to fret Ann! I think if you have the desire to create, you'll eventually work out your challenges with watercolors. I can't say that I have spent an enormous amount of time with watercolors, but I used to hate both oil and chalk pastels! After some "playing around" with them, I have come to LOVE them. (Actually, my avatar is oil pastel.) Try and clear your mind and all expectations and just PLAY!!! As kids we learned so many valuable lessons through play, why not as artists?

I'm brand new here too, but hopefully we both find some great advice here.
