Going to try this.  Hope it works.  The picture is an acrylic but will do a pastel or watercolor next time.  WC doesn't photograph well tho..

I think the sky is interesting and the trees give a sense of calmness and permanence. I was going to mention the shadows, but now the picture has disappeared, so will ask what is your focal point?

Good question!  I guess I would say I want to draw your eye to the sky between the trees and then forward. The colors are not as accurate as I would like.  It is really a "soft" picture and doen't look so online.  Thanks for the comment.

I like the painting and the way it leads your eye down the slope....I am also new to this but have not tried posting a pic. yet 1st I have to take my printer/scanner out of the box and learn how to use it

Hang in there.  Scanners are not too bad but actually I found that after you resize a picture on your computer to the size required, the rest is pretty easy.  If you read the instructions on the Forum homepage, you can do it.  Just "browse" and then attatch the pic at the bottom of the "posting" page.  If I can do it, you can too.

Thanks for the positive comments.  Just saw that you are in central FL.  Just moved from Winter Springs to Sanford, NC in Jan '06 but spent Christmas back in FL in December..  Love it here. in NC though..

I really like this picture.  It has Rhythm which I think is the focal point.  I still have not figured out how to post pictures.  Keep going strong.
