Hello, all--

I found this forum through the Pastel Journal, and have been enjoying looking through the art posted here. What wonderful variety of styles and subjects!

I've been doing art for fun since I was very young, and finally decided this year to start moving toward going full time. I'm studying a lot, took a couple of classes, and am experimenting with media. Right now I'm working mostly with acrylics and soft pastels.

See recent work at: http://wonder-of-it-all.com/
I always appreciate suggestions and feedback!

I just finished a new pastel tonight. Will photograph it and get it online tomorrow.

I live on a small island in Northwest Washington state that is a natural paradise, and I love being here. The wildlife who share the island are beautiful neighbors, and frequently are the inspiration for my art.

I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with others on this forum!

P.S. I make pine needle and willow baskets, too.

Hello Nancy,

What a delightful life you must live amongst nature's creatures. The painting is nicely done, have you any other paintings to show ?

Thanks, Bob, yes, my home is in paradise as far as I'm concerned. Here are links to a few other acrylic paintings I've done in the past few months:

Tree Frog: http://wonder-of-it-all.com/?p=17

New Neighbor: http://wonder-of-it-all.com/?p=5

and a castle at Calaguria in Italy: http://wonder-of-it-all.com/?p=8

Hope you enjoy them!

Very nice work, Nancy! I like all of the pieces that you've shared so far...
You have my curiosity up with the pine needle and willow baskets???? Can you show a pic of them?

Thanks, Mike. I don't have a photo of any willow work right now, but here's a pine needle basket I made:

Thanks for asking, Mike! Yes, I just recently started selling the pine needle baskets. That particular mini tray design goes for$50.
