Getting to know me:  My name is Joyce and  I have been painting with acrylics for about five years.  Never tried still life, only from a photo in a magazine from a calendar. With no formal instruction, I like to play around with the paint.  I like to read about new techniques and try to expand my outlook. Have painted on plywood, canvas panels, & recently stretched canvas.  I have MS and it's a great stress reliever. I can get lost in the moment of trying to create something that inspires me.

  Hello out there!

   I have just joined a local paint class. We're doing a Pen & Ink of an old style wheelbarrow filled with pumpkins,gourds, & corn stalks. It is something very different because this is with oils, and I have never worked with them.  I tend to get frustrated when I have no blooming idea what I need to do. I guess that's why I have avoided taking classes in the past. I thought it was being SHY or bashful, now I'm not sure.
