Thought I would join this forum and get some feedback on my art. I have joined a few over the last week but all seem dead at best. A little warning, some of my art could be offensive to some...nothing that I consider overly perverse, but if your squemish watch out! Mostly pencile, some pen, from realistic to line art...I tend to move about. Please check it out and let me know what you think! (Since I am unable to figure out how to get a link into my post, here is the URL...sorry: http://web.mac.com/dhartnett/Noigels_Hole/Noigels_Art_Galleries/Noigels_Art_Galleries.html Attached is a sample of my work as well. (Had to shrink it to fit)

Legion,

Disturbing but I guess that's the point. I like it. I will try out your website to see what else you've got. Don't change yourself because it doesn't fit in everybody's BOX.

The work you posted, illustrates violence, anguish, decadence, and also makes me feel claustrophobic because of the tight cropping. I guess your goal was to project those feelings, in an expressive manner. So you're successful, in my opinion.
Improvements?  Hmmm.  Look at the work of Francis Bacon. I'd like to see your drawing incorporate lighting and shading. Do the same drawing, but with severely different lighting effects. ...just some ideas. Study drawings from the Renaissance.  Those portraits and figures have a very real presence. Move toward realism and away from cartoonish caricatures.  -doug
