Hello, I'm new to this Forum and enjoying the learning curve. I've been an artist for nearly 40 years and make my living from my art. Sharing with other artists via a Forum seems like a good thing. Niebrugge

Hi Gail,
Welcome to the ‘Forum.’ I enjoyed looking at your web site. My wife says ‘Hello.’ She lived for 28 years in Alaska and admires your work. She said that about the year 2000 she really wanted a painting you did of the ‘Kennicott Mine’ that she saw in Anchorage, but couldn’t afford it.

Leon;
Thanks, how do I find your website? I'm amazed at all the information shared in the "Forum". I just finished an Artist-in-Residence at the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and have a new print of the Kennicott. Lots of good things going on out there.

Frank! What a small world, great to hear from you! You are now in Baja? That's my second favorite place in the world. I began my painting career painting scenes from there in the late in the early 1970's before we moved to Alaska. Thanks for the post.

Hi Gail,
Actually I'm a late bloomer. I've only been painting for about three years now. I started with acrylics and
took up oil after watching some Bob Ross shows and took off from there. I joined this forum to interact
with other artists and was soon opened up to the worlds of pastel and watercolor. I've only been doing those two for about a year. It's a very supportive enviroment here and it allows young and old artist the chance to grow by seeing how other people work and how they think about starting different projects. From what I've seen of your work, you have a vast body of knowlegde to share.

Hey Jim! Good for you, it is never too late to enjoy painting. From the looks of your work, you are learning fast! Thanks for the compliment, yes I've been painting a long, long, time. Most of my life, and that's long. You might enjoy reading an article I wrote for The Artist's Magazine in 1989 "The Best of Both Media". Go to this URL http://www.niebruggestudio.com/Best%20of%20Both% 20Media.htm. It doesn't look like I can post a live link on this reply? I'm new to Forums. Gail

Leon;

Thanks for the compliment, I used to do a lot of aerial perspective. Haven't done it for awhile.
