Hi, I am a new member and I live in Munfordville, KY which is about 1 hr. south of Louisville and 50 mins. north of Bowling Green.

I am interested in meeting other oil or soft pastelists who might be interested in meeting once a month and perhaps start a KY Pastel Society since there does not seem to be anything for our area or state.

Anyone interested please contact me via email at askarlene@scrtc.com and put pastels in subject line or call me at 270 524 9567 and we are on CT.

Hi Kate,
Welcome to the forum. I live in West Texas and I paint in oil. I hope that the pastel forum on this site will substitute for what you are looking for if you cannot find any artists within your area. I look forward to seeing your work posted here and for any critiques that you might want to pass along.

I,m not from KY but wanted to respond.....you have been the 1st one I've seen who does oil pastels.....I love them myself...so messy yet not at the same time.....hope you find some people for that group you want to start and I would love to see some of your work.
