I'm Dale Ziegler, a new member, and here is more than you want to know about me.
Although I have worked in many media, watercolor remains my favorite. Living and painting in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, I paint mostly interpretations of the surrounding lush farmlands and the local Amish community. I like to think of myself as a regional artist, painting what I love and know best, working in the traditional watercolor manner, - - a direct approach, with luminous, transparent colors.
After three years of army service in W.W.II, I studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art (now the University of the Arts) My first job was with R.R.Donnelley, in Lancaster as a graphic designer, and then served for eighteen years, as Corporate Creative Director for U.S.Tobacco, in Greenwich, CT. Although my job was art related, I didn’t really paint very much until my retirement. I was too busy, earning a living and raising a family
My work has been exhibited for many years in juried shows in New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois. I’m a signature member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Baltimore Watercolor Society, and the Philadelphia Water Color Society and have won prizes in their national shows.

BEAUTIFUL work!! Loved your website. I especially enjoyed the "Entrepreneur" piece......probably because my current project has pumpkins in it and yours came out so nice! Welcome!!
