Hi all, I've just finished and enjoyed illustrating a childrens book for the 1st time, so now I'm heading into a new direction to pursue a career in childrens illustraion. I wonder how many other fine artist that have done this and any advice if (in hindsight) you would've done better. (this could also relate to business matters.) Hi Sarah......

Have you checked out The Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators? If not, check them out on the web. It's a huge support network of people who are involved in the making of children's books. There are awesome people there who give valuable critiques and people available to answer legal questions regarding illustrators' contracts. I (at one point) thought I might like to try illustrating children's books, so I joined that site for about a year. It's very informative. As for THIS site......welcome!
