A lot of you have been asking about how to resize your photos so you can upload them to the site.
Most computers today have at least a simple photo-editing tool built into them. If yours doesn't, you can download free photo-editing software from Picasa (picasa.google.com). When you save your file, make sure to save it as a JPG or TIFF. Adjust the resolution to no more than 72 dpi (dot per inch).

To ensure the resulting image will be big enough, make sure you "constrain proportions" and then set the dimensions so that one side is about four or five inches.

Also one or your fellow users, Jerry, recommends using Irfanview.com (www.irfanview.com). Here are his tips:
1. Use your mouse and make a box around only the part of the picture you want to post up.
2. Click on edit (on tool bar) and then click crop selection
3.Click Image (on tool bar)then click resize/resample down to set new size. Put in 500 in the width the height will change bu itself. That's ok. The number could be more than 500 for a 100k image but start there.
4. Click on file, go down and save as (give picture a new name). If your picture is just a little over 100 you can slide the bar at the top right of the save page. Slide the image quality to about 60. That will reduce the size and not the image quality as viewed here.
